Renew Your KOK Membership or Join Today!

For 2019-2020, we're mixing some well-loved classics, like our holiday party and our Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday event, with exciting new events (ax throwing, anyone?). KOK members enjoy a supportive community of sisters and valuable networking opportunities. Your membership dues help KOK support two local collegiate chapters--Iota Nu (UCSD) and Kappa Lambda (USD). A portion of your dues also goes to the national organization to keep Alpha Chi Omega strong across the country.

Ready to join? You can pay online OR fill out the registration form, or bring a check to the next event. And there's a special incentive to pay your dues early. Everyone who becomes a paying member by Wednesday, October 15, will be entered into a drawing for some special Alpha Chi Omega gear!

Get Involved with KOK

We're committed to increasing our membership this year, and we need your help! We're seeking a Membership and Scholarship Chair. If you loved collegiate recruitment, or if you're looking to give back to KOK, this is a great opportunity. For more details, contact KOK President Maya Botvinick.

Congratulations to Our Scholarship Recipients!

As part of our support for Iota Nu and Kappa Lambda, KOK funds two scholarships for deserving collegians. Get to know this year's recipients.

Ashley Dinh, Iota Nu
During Ashley's 3-year membership in the Iota Nu chapter, she has served on the executive board twice. Her leadership roles in the chapter have been VP Risk Management, VP Membership Programming, Assistant Public Relations and Marketing, and Junior Rep for MyJourney. On campus, she has two research positions, one in the Center for Neural Circuits and Behavior, the other for the department of Pathology. She is a volunteer for the Rady Children's Hospital and involved in an organization called VNHope Alliance. With this organization, she spends her summer on medical missions to Vietnam and volunteer in the clinic to provide healthcare to the underprivileged and has raised $6,000 individually to rebuild an orphanage in Vietnam that VNHope Alliance has treated. After graduation she plans on giving back to Alpha Chi, by being on a collegiate chapter advisory board and participate in the Women in Wisdom program as a healthcare professional.

Amanda Holbrook, Kappa Lambda
Amanda will start her senior year this Fall and has held the positions of Secretary, Fundraising Chair, Panhellenic Delegate, and currently VP Chapter Relations and Standards. Her volunteer internship is studying anxiety in children.  She learns about the causes and potential treatments for kids with anxiety, OCD, and PTSD.  During the summer, she mentored students in STEM subjects, as part of the campus STEMWoW project. This provided her the opportunity to work with kids in the San Diego community, specifically with those from underrepresented communities. As part of the Psychology Honor Society (Psi Chi), she tutors other USD students every week. Amanda has says, "I feel more attached to the Kappa Lambda chapter than ever, and I am happy to serve my sisters and Alpha Chi Omega everyday. I can honestly say Alpha Chi Omega has shaped me into a responsible, level-headed, and motivated leader I am today."

Congratulations to Ashley and Amanda!

News From Headquarters

Member Profile Update - AXO updated the member profile on the website. The new member profile allows you to review and update your volunteer history, see your foundation giving history, indicate or update your volunteer interest (and skills!) and better manage your communication preferences. We encourage you to review your profile and make sure it is up to date! We also hope you’ll spread the word to your sisters, and encourage them to fill out the volunteer interest section on their profile!

Book Club - Did you know that Alpha Chi Omega has a virtual book club for alumnae? To sign up for the book club, join our Facebook group AXO Book Club. Each month, we will read a new book and have a virtual discussion via the Facebook group. Every few months, we’ll extend our virtual discussion to a live video conference where we can discuss the book “face to face.” View our list of upcoming books.

Women & Wisdom - Have you joined Women & Wisdom yet? Women & Wisdom is Alpha Chi Omega’s premier online networking experience that will allow you to sign up to be a mentee and/or a mentor to other AXO members around the country! This interactive experience provides resources and tutorials to help guide mentors and mentees in developing impactful relationships, achieving goals and gaining new skills and competencies. Alumnae have the opportunity to participate as a mentor, mentee or both!  Get started by creating your mentoring profile. Sisters who are participating as mentees drive the matching process. They can search mentor profiles based on industry or professional interests. The mentee will reach out to a mentor to make the connection. Interested in joining? Visit the Women & Wisdom page on the Alpha Chi Omega website. You will need to log into the AXO website in order to sign-up for the program and create your profile. There is also an informative orientation video available to get you acquainted with the program. If you have any questions, please email mentoring@alphachiomega.org.
