Holiday Party & Secret Sisters

If you are interested in participating in being a Secret Sister, prior to November 23 fill out a short form about yourself by CLICKING HERE.  After that date, we will provide your secret sister information and you can purchase a gift for $20 or less.

We ask that you drop off the gift at the sister's house before December 9.  If you want to participate and will not be able to drop off at your sister's house, you can mail it or a KOK board member can arrange to pick up the gift and drop off at their house.

Don't open your gift as we will do this during the virtual call.

​Kappa Omicron Kappa had a blast getting together for a Book Club this month! Our ladies loved being able to catch up and chat about Big Little Lies!

Chapter Leadership Opportunities Still Open for 2020-2021

Calling all leaders! Here is your opportunity to enjoy the society of your sisters, network, cultivate new relationships and work with Real.Strong.Women. to advance the goals of the alumnae chapter. There are many roles available to choose from and the response form details general information for each role.
  • Alpha Chi-ndess: Send birthday cards, Shining Stars, reach out to any sisters in need assistance.
  • Ambassador: Welcome and integrate new members by pairing with current members.
  • ​Philanthropy Team Chair: Provide assistance to local domestic violence shelters and amplify the awareness and education of domestic violence through Alpha Chi Omega nationally.
  • Scholarship Chair (Spring February - April): Oversee scholarship process with the (3) collegiate chapters.
  • Slightly Older Sister Chair: Pair alumnae with seniors at UCSD, USD, CSUSM that will touch base with the senior from September - May. Invite them to monthly KOK events, check in regarding their sorority experience, provide a handwritten card for their Hall of Commitment and other correspondence you wish.

The term is from August 1, 2020 - July 31, 2021.

We're mixing some well-loved classics, like our holiday party and our Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday event, with exciting new events (ax throwing, anyone?). KOK members enjoy a supportive community of sisters and valuable networking opportunities. Your membership dues help KOK support three local collegiate chapters--Iota Nu (UCSD), Kappa Lambda (USD) and Iota Tau (CSUSM). A portion of your dues also goes to the national organization to provide Alpha Chi Omega the resources needed for alumnae programming for all.

Philanthropy Corner

Kappa Omicron Kappa supports Carol’s House in San Diego by providing “Welcome Bags” each year. We have an Amazon Wish List of the supplies we are in need of to assemble these bags. Items range from $2.99 to $19.46. We hope you can participate in this call for the shelter’s essential items. Thank you sisters!

Meet Brooke Pfan

Brooke Pfan is an initiate of Alpha Eta (University of Mount Union) and currently resides in San Diego, California. She is currently working as an Aerospace Buyer. As an alumna, she volunteers as Collegiate Relations Chair! Her favorite Alpha Chi memory was dressing up for “raids” and coming up with costumes from what she could pull from her sisters’ closets. Her favorite costume was bid day or junior senior night before graduation. Brooke’s favorite thing about Alpha Chi Omega is how even after 6 years and a move across the country, she is still so close with some of her best friends/sisters she met through the chapter.

Call for Individual Award Nominations
​Alpha Chi Omega enjoys celebrating members who are going above and beyond in their communities and professions, and who are giving selflessly to our Fraternity. Nomination forms for individual alumnae and collegiate awards are now open, and all nominations must be submitted by November 15. Members may self-nominate, or you can nominate a sister who stands out to you as exceptional.
